Charles Pettit (1845 - 1922) of Wickhambrook

Charles Pettit was baptised 3 August 1845 at Wickhambrook, a son of George Pettit and Mary formerly Bye.

 

In the 1851 census of Baxters Green Wickhambrook, he was living with his parents, aged 6 and born at Wickhambrook.

 

In the 1861 census of Lady Mead Road, Wickhambrook, he was living with his parents, aged 16, a labourer and born at Wickhambrook.

 

In the 1871 census of Baxters Green. Wickhambrook, he was living with his parents, aged 26, an agricultural labourer and born at Wickhambrook.

 

In the 1881 census of Baxters Green, Wickhambrook, he was living with his parents, unmarried and aged 36, and born in Wickhambrook.

 

In the 1891 census of Baxters Green, Wickhambrook, he was living with his parents and brother Alfred, occupying three rooms, unmarried and aged 45, an employed agricultural labourer, and born at Wickhambrook.

 

In the 1901 census he was single and living with his brother Alfred at Baxters Green, next to his brother William’s widow Emma and her family.  Charles was aged 60 and an agricultural labourer, born at Wickhambrook.

 

In 1911, at Baxters Green, Wickhambrook, in 3 rooms, Charles was living on his own, aged 66, a horsekeeper and born at Wickhambrook.

 

There is a death entry for Charles Pettitt aged 77, in the June quarter 1922 in the Risbridge district.
