William Jolly was baptised at Barrow, 16 February 1806, a son of Jeremiah Jolly and Mary formerly Fordham.
He married Elizabeth Blincoe (baptised 23 September 1810, daughter of Henry Blincoe and Hannah7) at Barrow, 13 October 1828.
In 1841, at Street, Barrow, next to George, William was aged 30 an agricultural labourer, Elizabeth was aged 30, John 7, Mary 4, and Susanna 2. All were born in the county.
In 1851 at Street, Barrow, William was aged 44 an agricultural labourer and Elizabeth his wife was aged 41. Their children were John 16, a carter, Maria 14, Susan 11, Hannah 9, Drucilla 7 and James 1. All were born in Barrow.
In 1861 at Barrow, next to George, William was aged 50 and married (sic) but Elizabeth was not at home. His children were Drucilla aged 18 a seamstress, James aged 10 and Charles aged 7. All were born at Barrow.
Elizabeth probably registered her sister in law, Ann Birch's death, 30 (sic) June 1862.
In 1871 at Street, Barrow, next to George, William was aged 65 a farm labourer and his wife, Elizabeth was aged 63. With them was their grandson William Talbot aged 8. All were born at Barrow.
In 1881, at Cottage, Barrow Street, Barrow, William Jolly was aged 84, a rat catcher born at Barrow, and Elizabeth, his wife, was aged 82 and born at Barrow.
William’s death has not so far been identified, 1881 - 1891.
In 1891 at 31 Street, Barrow, Mary Talbot, a widow, was aged 55 and a tailoress. With her was her mother, Elizabeth Jolly a widow aged 82, her son James Talbot aged 22 and a farm labourer and her granddaughter Elizabeth Wright aged 5. All were born at Barrow.
Elizabeth’s death was registered in the Thingoe district (includes Barrow) in the March quarter 1892 aged 79.
William and Elizabeth’s children were:
Ann (1829 - 1829), baptised 16 April 1829 at Barrow and was buried 20 September 1829 at Barrow.
Susan (1832 - 1836), born 1 May 1832, baptised 10 June 1832 at Barrow and buried 4 June 1836 at Barrow.
John Blinco, baptised 25 December 1834 at Barrow. In 1851 at Barrow, at home with his parents, he was aged 16. He married Rebecca Ann Braebrook (baptised 28 February 1837 at Bury St Edunds, daughter of Samuel Brabrook and Hannah formerly Snelling7) at Barrow, 19 October 1855. In 1881 there is a John Jolly (47) born at Barrow and his wife Naomi (40) born at Melksham, Wilts, at 69 Victoria Dock Road, West Ham, Essex. There were 17 boarders and his niece, Elizabeth Dennis (15), a domestic servant, born at Fulham. John Jolly married Naomi Abbott in the St Giles district (1b 829) in the June quarter of 1878.
John and Rebecca’s son was:
George James (1857 - 1922), baptised 4 March 1857 at Barrow. He went to Cape Town, South Africa. He married Anna Catherina Sophia Marie Behrmann. He and Anna separated in 1906 and were divorced 17 December 1912. He left Cape Town in 1907 (according to a letter from his daughter Alma to the executor of his estate. Apparently he never wrote to his daughter nor had much contact with his children. In 1922 his was a contractor to South Africa Railways. He died 25 January 1922 at Greys Hospital, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Aftrica, (ref 1922/7059. His will was dated 23 January 1922 and his estate was left to his son John (nothing to his daughters)7. At the time of his death Anna, his ex-wife was living at Green Point, Cape Town. He owed his ex-wife Pds 330.00 in child maintenance when he died.

Donnelly. In 1922 she was living at
Greenwich Blackheath Road, Three Anchor Bay, Cape Town
and signed her father's death notice.
Alma and John were divorced in 1925.
John James, born c.
1888. He married May Ellen Radley. At the
time of his father's death he was living at 131, Sivewright
Street, Krugersdorp, Transvaal. He died about 1943, Transvaal, South
Africa.
Ethel Sophie, born about 1890.
Gladys,
born about 1898. She married.
Florence Victoria, born about 1896.
Mary, baptised 17 September 1837 at Barrow. She married Alfred Talbot at Barrow, 22 October 1859. In 1881 Mary (as Maria) was living at Barrow Street Cottage, Barrow, a widow, aged 40 and a tailoress, born at Barrow. With her were her children Harriet (16) a tailoress, Rebecca (14) a tailoress, James (12) an agricultural labourer and Jane (10), all were born in Barrow.

William, baptised 17 March 1862 at Barrow. In 1871 he was with his grandparents aged 8.

Susan, baptised 28 July 1839 at Barrow. In 1851 at Barrow, she was aged 11.
Hannah, baptised 20 February 1842 at Barrow. In 1851, at Barrow, she was aged 9.
Drusilla Jolly (1844 – 1878), baptised 25 December 1844 at Barrow. She married George Talbot at Barrow, 25 October 1862.
On 6 October 1876 on board the 'Woodlark', she sailed to Australia, arriving at Brisbane 25 January 1877 (this may not have been when she emigrated). She was 32 years, married, with Jessie (11 years), James (2 years) and George (1 year). She died 2 December 1878 at Cunningham Street, Dalby, [Queensland Cert 1878/00563 ('Rosella' sic Talbot)] and was buried at Dalby. George Talbot died 16 November 1890 in Caxton St, Petrie Terrace, Brisbane [Cert 1890/B23642]. He was a lengthsman and the informant was his wife, Adeline. George was buried in the Toowoong Cemetery.
