She married John Manning of Great Saxham at Barrow, 24 December 1829.
In 1841, at Frizzel Green, Great Saxham, John was aged 30 an agricultural labourer, Maryann 30, Harriet 10, James 8, Sarah Ann 6, Susan 4 and Henry 1. All were born in the county.
In 1851 at Great Saxham, John Manning was aged 45 an agricultural labourer born at Gazeley. His wife, Maryann was aged 39 and born at Barrow. Their children were Harriet aged 20, James 18, Susan 13, Henry 11, William 7, Emma 5, Mary 3 and Phoebe Jane 11 months, all born at Great Saxham.
John Manning was buried at Great Saxham 28 April 1851 aged 45.
In 1861, at Frizzels Green, Great Saxham, Mary Manning was aged 49, a widow and char woman born at Barrow. Her son, William was aged 19, an agricultural labourer born at Great Saxham, and daughter Jane was aged 11 and born at Great Saxham. Also with her was James Manning her brother-in-law aged 50, an agricultural labourer born at Little Saxham. There were two visitors, William and Susan Green aged 28 and 24. Wiliam was a blacksmith journeyman and born in Windsor, Berks. And Susan was born at Great Saxham. Mary’s grandson, Sidney Green, was with her aged 4 months and born at Bury St Edmunds.
In 1871 at Frizzells Cottages, Mary Ann Manning was living with her daughter Emma Cross. She was a widow aged 58 and born at Barrow.
In 1881, Mary Ann Manning, a widow, was with her daughter, Phoebe Jane Theobald, aged 75 and born at Barrow.
Mary Ann Manning was buried at Great Saxham, 19 March 1891 aged 80.

In 1871 at Frizzells Cottages, Great Saxham, Emma Cross was aged 25, a tailoress and born at Great Saxham. Her children were Harriet Cross aged 6 and born at Great Saxham and Jane Cross aged 4 and born at Poplar, Middx. There was also her mother, Mary Ann Manning, a widow aged 58 and born at Barrow.

Phoebe Jane Manning, born about 1849. She was baptised at Great Saxham 30 June 1850, a daughter of John (labourer) and Mary Ann. In the March quarter 1873 in the Bury St Edmunds district she married Arthur Theobald. In 1881, at 60 Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, Phoebe Jane Theobald was aged 24, a widow and Prudential Insurance Agent (crossed through) born at Great Saxham. With her was her son, Percy F Theobald aged 3 born at Bolton, Lancs and her mother, widow Mary Ann Manning aged 75 and born at Barrow.
