Charlotte Ellerbeck was born 27 August 1807 and baptised 5 June 1808 at Tadcaster, a daughter of Thomas Ellerbeck of Tadcaster, shoemaker, son of Richard Ellerbeck of Toulston (sic) in the parish of Newton Kyme, farmer; by Elizabeth, daughter of Ralph Dalton of York, shoemaker by Ann, daughter of – Blackburn of Church Garforth, collier.
She was not in the 1851 census of Tadcaster.
(There is a death for a Charlotte registered in the September quarter 1846 in the Tadcaster district. She was buried at Tadcaster 1 September 1846 aged 59, so this cannot be her, unless there is a mistake in her age but both the register and the Bishop’s Transcript both state 59. In reality she would have been 39, so perhaps a figure 3 was confused for a 5. In 1851 all her children are in the census, each at a different location which further suggests that Charlotte had died.)
Her children were:
Thomas Ellerbeck (1829 – 1905), baptised at Tadcaster 6 December 1829.
