Mary Ann Vollans was born about 1846/7 at Barlby (Vollams [Free BMD] registered September quarter 1846 in the Selby district), a daughter of Joseph Vollans and Charlotte (formerly Turner).
In 1851 she was at home with her parents, aged 4 and born at Barlby.
In the 1861 census, at 32 Horsefair Doncaster, as Mary A Vallons, she was a general servant aged 14, born at Barlby, in the household of Sarah Liddell, 61, a dressmaker.
Mary Ann was a witness to the marriage of Hannah and single on 11 April 1871.
In 1871, at 117 Little Horton Lane, Horton, Bradford, in the household of William Beanland, she was a housemaid aged 24.
She married Thomas Hammill Morris in the June quarter 1871 in the Bradford district.
Searches for Mary Ann and Thomas Hammill Morris in the censuses and death indexes have so far proved fruitless.
