He was born 7 May 1807 and baptised 14 June 1807 at Linton, a son of William Peters and Sarah formerly Fordham.
He married Mary Gibson at Linton, 7 November 1835.
In 1841 at Cambridge Road, Linton, Samuel was aged 30 – 34, an agricultural labourer, Mary was aged 30 - 34, John was aged 4 and Henry was aged 1. There was also Sophia Gibson aged 25 – 29. All were born in Cambridgeshire.
In 1851, in High Street, Linton, Samuel Peters was aged 41, a labourer, Mary, his wife, was aged 42 and their children were Henry aged 10 and William aged 7. All were born at Linton.
In 1861, at Green Lane, Linton, Samuel was aged 50, an agricultural labourer. His wife, Mary, was aged 51 and their son William was aged 17, an agricultural labourer. All were born at Linton.
Samuel and Mary's children were:
John Peters, born 13 November 1837 and baptised 5 December 1837 at Linton.
Henry Peters, born 6 April 1840 and baptised 18 August 1840 at Linton. In 1881, at Balsham Road Greenditch, Linton, he (Harry) was aged 41, an agricultural labourer and born at Linton. With him were his wife, Caroline aged 40 and born at Linton and his son George, aged 16, an agricultural labourer and born at Linton.
William Peters, born about
1843/4 (not in the IGI), but birth appears to have been registered in the March
quarter 1844 in the Linton district.
