Hannah Nettleton was baptised 20 April 1828 at Healaugh by Tadcaster, a daughter of James Nettleton and Hannah.
In 1841 she was living at home with her parents aged 13.
In 1871, on parish relief and living with her parents, Hannah, was unmarried and aged 43, with Herbert (sic) (son) aged 11, both born at Healaugh and Martha (daughter) aged 5 and born at Tadcaster.
Her illegitimate children were:
Herbert, baptised 8 July 1860 at Healaugh by Tadcaster.
In 1861 he may have been with his grandparents, as Albert, aged 1.
In 1871 he was aged 11 and with his mother and grandparents.
In 1881, at Werneth Park, Oldham, he was an unmarried footman, aged 21 and born at Tadcaster, in the household of Samuel Radcliffe Platt, aged 35 and born at Oldham.
In the 1891 index, at Great Driffield, he was a boarder, aged 29 and born at Healaugh, in the household of William H. (30) and Sarah A. (35) Holliday.
Martha,
born about 1865 at Tadcaster.
In 1871 she was aged 5 and with her mother and
grandparents.
