George Thomas Ellerbeck was born 1872/3 at Tadcaster (ages in censuses). His birth was registered in the Tadcaster district in the September quarter 1872, a son of Thomas Ellerbeck and Anne formerly Dickinson.
In 1881 he was living at home, at York Road, East Tadcaster, aged 8 and born at Tadcaster.
He has not been found in the 1891 index.
George Thomas married Carrie Peckitt in the Tadcaster district in the June quarter of 1896 (9c 1362).
He was a witness at his brother Frederick's marriage to Annie Crossley in the Parish Church, Tadcaster, 30 May 1898.
In the 1901 census he (as George T.) was living in Bridge Street, Tadcaster West aged 28, a brewer's clerk, born in Tadcaster. With him was his wife, Carrie, aged 26 and born at Birdsall. His children were Ethel aged 2, born at Stutton, Tadcaster and Harold aged 7 months, born at Tadcaster.
In 1911 at 2 West Terrace, St Joseph Street, Tadcaster, in 4 rooms, he was aged 38, a brewer born in Tadcaster East, Carrie was aged 36 and born in Malton. They had been married for 14 years and had had 3 children, one of whom had died. Their children were Ethel aged 12 and Harold aged 10, both born in Tadcaster West.
He died 7 January 1929. Administration was granted 15 February 1929 at London to Carrie Ellerbeck, widow. His estate was £415.12s.11d. He was of 2 Westgate, Tadcaster and was aged 56.

district. He was aged 0.
Ethel Ellerbeck (1898 – 1937), born 13 September 1898 at Stutton, Tadcaster (birth registered in the December quarter 1898 in the Tadcaster district) and baptised 16 October 1898 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Tadcaster, a daughter of George Thomas and Carrie Ellerbeck of Strutton Grove. She married Harold Strothard in the Tadcaster district in the June quarter 1927. Her death was registered in the Leeds N district in the March quarter 1937, aged 38.
Harold Ellerbeck (1900 – 1954), born about September 1900 at Tadcaster (birth registered in the December quarter 1900 (the only one 1895 – 1905, all districts), in the Tadcaster district). He appears to have remained single. His death was registered in the Claro district in the March quarter 1954, aged 53.
