Richard Ellerbeck was baptised 2 October 1749 at Newton Kyme, son of Richard.
He was an executor of his father’s will in 1794 and inherited the farming business and tenancy of his father.
He, a farmer, may have married Mary Cowill, a spinster, by licence, 17 ? 1800 or 1801 at Newton Kyme.
Richard Ellerbeck of Tolston aged 67 was buried at Newton Kyme 7 June 1817. His gravestone is in the churchyard.
In the index to the Exchequer and Prerogative Courts of York, there is an entry for the administration of his estate in 1817
