He was born 30 May 1879 (1939 register), and baptised 6 July 1879 at Pampisford, a son of William Cutter and Caroline formerly Flack.
In 1881 and 1891 he was at home.
In the 1901 census he was living at home, a milkman seller.
He married first Sarah Stalley in 1902 in the Edmonton district. Sarah died 1905.
He married secondly Lilly Maud Butress, a widow, formerly Andrews (born about 1879, daughter of William Andrews) on 26 December 1907 at Little Abington.
In 1911, in four rooms at Grange Farm Cottage, Little Abington, Leonard was aged 31, a milkman and born at Pampisford. His wife, Lily Maud was aged 31 and born at Chrishall. They had been married for 3 years and had had two children both of whom were living. With them were Leonard William Butress aged 11 and born at Duxford, Reginald George Butress aged 9 and born at Cambridge, Leonard Cutter aged 8, Charles William Cutter aged 5, Mildred Lily Cutter aged 2 and Leslie Frank Cutter aged 1 month. The last four were born at Little Abington except Charles who was born at Babraham.
In the 1939 register Leonard Cutter was living at 2 Farm Cottages, Springwell Farm, Littlethorpe, Easington RD (Co Durham) with Lily M. (date of birth 4 September 1872) and Leonard Cutter junior, date of birth 13 March 1903 an agricultural labourer milk seller and two more whose records are closed. His date of birth is given as 30 May 1879 and he was single and an agricultural labourer cowman.
A probable death registration for Lily M. Cutter is in the Durham E district in the December quarter 1948 aged 69.
A possible death registration for Leonard Cutter is in the Sunderland district in the March quarter 1958 with an age of 78.
Leonard and Sarah's children were
Leonard Cutter (1903 – 1988), born 13 March 1903 (1939 register) and baptised 3 May 1903 at Great Abington, registered in the Linton district in the June quarter 1903. In the 1939 register he appears to be with his parents in the Easington RD with a birth year of 1903. He was married to Hilda. There is a marriage entry for Leonard Cutter and Hilda Oswald in the Durham East district in the June quarter 1957. Leonard junior left £1000 to a cousin, in his will. Leonard Cutter died 18 January 1988 (registered with a birth date of 13 March 1903) and was of 6 Petwell Crescent, Easington Village, Co Durham and his estate was less than £70,000.
Charles William Cutter, baptised 13 August 1905 at Great Abington. He married Marian Maddison in the Durhan E. district in the March quarter 1939. No children appear to have been born.
Leonard and Lilly's children were:
Mildred Lily Cutter, born 20 September and baptised 15 November 1908 at Little Abington. She married Robert H. Bailey in the Easington district in the December quarter 1928.
Leslie Frank Cutter, born 22 February 1911 and baptised 16 April 1911 at Little Abington. He married Beatrice E. Towers in the Easington district in the September quarter 1933.
