I am grateful to Colin Hatton for some of the information on this page.

He was born 30 May 1879 (1939 register), and baptised 6 July 1879 at Pampisford, a son of William Cutter and Caroline formerly Flack.

In 1881 and 1891 he was at home.

In the 1901 census he was living at home, a milkman seller.

He married first Sarah Stalley in 1902 in the Edmonton district.  Sarah died 1905.

He married secondly Lilly Maud Butress, a widow, formerly Andrews (born about 1879, daughter of William Andrews) on 26 December 1907 at Little Abington.

In 1911, in four rooms at Grange Farm Cottage, Little Abington, Leonard was aged 31, a milkman and born at Pampisford.  His wife, Lily Maud was aged 31 and born at Chrishall.  They had been married for 3 years and had had two children both of whom were living.  With them were Leonard William Butress aged 11 and born at Duxford, Reginald George Butress aged 9 and born at Cambridge, Leonard Cutter aged 8, Charles William Cutter aged 5, Mildred Lily Cutter aged 2 and Leslie Frank Cutter aged 1 month.  The last four were born at Little Abington except Charles who was born at Babraham.
