She was born 26 March 1876, at 9 Lorraine Terrace, Leeds (West) to William Crossley, shoe manufacturer, and Sarah Ann formerly Kerton. William registered the birth. In 1881 she was living at home with her parents, aged 5, born in Leeds. She married Frederick Ellerbeck in the Parish Church, Tadcaster, on 30 May 1898 and her death was registered in the June quarter 1899 in the registration district of Tadcaster.
