John may have been the son of John Seaman and Anne, baptised 4 August 1713 at Framfield.

He married Dorothy.

Dorothy Seaman was buried 25 June 1783 at Framfield, aged 70, a widow.

The children of John and Dorothy were:

1. John, baptised 2 December 1740 at Framfield (Seaman)
2. Joseph, baptised 30 June 1743 at Framfield (Seaman)
3. Ann, baptised 10 August 1746 at Framfield (Seaman). She (X) may have married William Daniel (X) at Framfield 11 June 1772 after banns.
4. Mary, baptised 18 April 1750 at Framfield (Seaman)
