The Family of Thomas Killingbeck (1777 – 1860)

He was baptised 11 May 1777 at Carlton, a son of George of Camblesforth.

 

He married Leah Britain 25 June 1804 at Carlton after banns,  They were both of the parish of Carlton and the witnesses were XWilliam Willsworth and William Richard.

 

In 1841 at Temple Hirst, Birkin, Selby, he was aged 66 an agricultural labourer.  With him was Leoa aged 65, Mary aged 18 and Susannah aged 16.

 

Leah Killingbeck was buried at Birkin 25 April 1847.  She was of Temple Hirst and aged 70.

 

In 1851, at Ousegate, Selby, he was a widower aged 75, an agricultural labourer born at Camblesforth.

 

He was buried at Birkin 18 March 1860 from Selby, aged 75.

 

Thoimas and Leah’s children were:

Bessy Killingbeck, born 8 March 1805 and baptised10 March 1805 at Carlton a daughter of Thomas (son of George and Sarah) and Leah (daughter of Robert and Betty).

William Killingbeck, born 24 November 1806 and baptised 30 November 1806 at Carlton, a son of Thomas (son of George and Sarah) and Leah (daughter of Robert Briton, labourer, of Carlton by Betty his wife).

George Killingbeck, born 31 March 1811 and baptised 3 April 1811 at Carlton, a son of Thomas, labourer (son of George, farmer, of Camblesforth) and Liah (daughter of Robert Britain, labourer, of Carlton).

John Killingbeck, baptised 5 September 1812 at Carlton, a son of Thomas and Leah (Brittain), of Carlton, labourer.

Mary Killingbeck, born about 1822.

Susannah Killingbeck, born about 1824.
