He was born 2 June 1879 at Fulstow and baptised 6 July 1879 at Fulstow, a son of Alexander Johnson and Hannah formerly Stevenson. The registration was in the Louth district, December quarter of 1879.
In the 1881 census he was living at home aged 1.
In the 1891 census he was living at home aged 11.
He was educated at De Aston School, Market Rasen, Lincs. He was admitted, aged 12, on 18 September 1891 and left midsummer 1895.
In the 1901 census he appears to be living in two rooms at 12 Boston Road, Sleaford, aged 21, a clerk with the Great Northern Railway and born at Fulstow.
He died at Stalybridge 14 October 1904 and was buried 18 October 1904 at Fulstow, aged 25, of 46, High Street, Stalybridge.
