Ann Hawksley was baptised 3 November 1799 at South Wingfield, a daughter of Robert Hawksley and Dorothy, formerly Shaw.
She married Joseph Bunting (X) 10 September 1827 at South Wingfield, after banns. They were both of the parish and the witnesses were Ab(raha)m Jennings and Ellen Taylor.
Ann Bunting’s burial was at South Wingfield 5 October 1831. She was from Crich.
Joseph Bunting, son of William Bunting, married secondly Sarah Parsons, daughter of William Parsons, 29 March 1841 at Crich.
In 1841, at Amber Row, Wessington, Joseph was aged 33, a framework knitter. His wife, Sarah, was aged 25, Isaac was aged 13, Robert was aged 11 and Sarah Parsons was aged 3. All were born in the county except Sarah Bunting and Sarah Parsons.
In 1851 at Deloes, Shirland, Joseph Bunting was aged 54, a framework knitter born at Duckenfield(?) Cheshire. His wife, Sarah was aged 54 and born at Arnold, Nottinghamshire, and with him were his son Isaac aged 23 a framework knitter born at South Wingfield and his daughter-in-law Mary Parsons aged 13 and born at Arnold, Nottinghamshire.
Ann and Joseph's children were
Isaac Bunting (1828 – 1899), baptised 15 June 1828 at South Wingfield. He married Ann Limb in the December quarter 1851 in the Chesterfield district.
In 1861 at Shirland, Isaac
Bunting was aged 32, a coal miner born at South Wingfield. His wife, Ann was aged 42, a stay maker
born at Pilsley.
Their children were Martha aged 7, Thomas aged 5, Mary J. aged 3 and
George aged 7 months. With them
were Isaace’s children-in-law (i.e. step
children) Elizabeth Limb aged 21 a stay maker and William Limb aged 17 an iron
stone getter both born at Plisley.
In 1871 at Goose Green, Shirland,
Isaac was aged 40 a coal miner born at South Wingfield. His wife, Ann was aged 52 a stay maker
born at North Wingfield. Their children were Thomas aged 15 a
coal miner, Mary Jane aged 13 and George aged 10, all born at Shirland. With
them was a boarder, John Martin aged 22 a coal miner born at Riddings and Isaac’s granddaughter, Ann Bunting aged
1 and born at Shirland.
In 1881 at Goose Green, Shirland,
Isaac was aged 52 a general labourer born at South Wingfield. His wife, Ann, was aged 62 and born at Pilsley. Their
children were Thomas aged 25 a coal miner and George aged 20 a general
labourer. There was also a grandson
of Isaac, John Sellors aged 9. All were born at Shirland.
In 1891 at 25 New Street, Morton, Isaac was aged 63 a
colliery labourer born at South Wingfield. His wife, Ann, was aged 72 and born at Pilsley.
Ann’s death was registered in the December quarter
1893 in the Chesterfield district aged 75.
Isaac’s death was registered in the March quarter
1899 in the Chesterfield district aged 70.
