He may have been baptised 18 May 1755 at Linton, a son of William and Mary Flack.

Robert married Elizabeth Moore at Linton 28 October 1777.

Robert and Elizabeth's children were:

1. Robert, baptised 9 May 1779 at Cherry Hinton.
2. Sarah, baptised 6 October 1782 at Cherry Hinton.
3. John, born 12 October 1785 and baptised 20 November 1785 at Linton.
4. Thomas, born 7 April 1788 and baptised 25 May 1788 at Linton.
5. Samuel, born July 1790 and baptised 25 July 1790 at Linton.
6. William, born 1 September 1792 and baptised 7 October 1792 at Linton.
7. Elizabeth, baptised 2 February 1794 at Linton.
