Anna
Challis was known as Annie, registered as Anna, born 11 July 1868 at Little Ousden and baptised as Annie, 30 August 1868 at Ousden (of Little Ousden,
labourer), a daughter of George Challis and Sarah formerly Crack. She was also referred to as Anna in the
will of Kate Jane Challis, and signed herself as Anna on the grant of
probate. She married Ernest Albert Pettit at Depden in 1889 and
was buried at Newmarket Cemetery in 1954 with her husband.
