The Family of William Belsham

William married Frances Smith at Upminster, 20 April 1807 after banns. They were bachelor and spinster of the parish and the witnesses were Thomas Cross and James Chapple.

On the marriage certificate of his son, James, in 1855, William was stated to be a gardener.

The children of William and Frances Belsham were:

  1. James, baptised on 18 October 1807 at Chigwell.
  2. William, baptised 2 June 1810 at Chigwell. In 1851, at 30 Shaftesbury Place, St Botolph, Aldersgate, London, William was aged 40, a packer, born at Chigwell. His wife, Elizabeth was aged 41 and born at Wincanton, Somerset, and their children were Harriet, aged 7 and Eliza aged 9 months, both born in the City of London. William and Eliza's children were:
    1. Harriet, born about 1843 in the City of London.
    2. Eliza, born around June 1850 in the City of London.
