Lucy Eliza was born 6 July 1827 and baptised 29 July 1827 at Theydon Mount, a daughter of James Belsham, of Theydon Mount, gardener and Sophia formerly Brewitt.
She married Joseph West.
In the 1861 census of Theydon Garnon, at Worters Farm, was Joseph West, aged 36, a coachman, born at Stapleford Tawney. His wife, Lucy E. was aged 33, a straw bonnet maker, born at Stapleford Tawney. Their children were Fred aged 7, Sarah aged 5 and Elizabeth aged 3, all born at Theydon Garnon. Also with them was Joseph's sister-in-law, Frances E. Belsham, aged 15, a pupil teacher and born at Stapleford Tawney.
In 1877 Lucy Eliza West, the wife of Joseph West, coachman, was living at Hampstead.
In the census of 1881, living at 147 Seymour Place, London, a house and shop (near Marble Arch, Marylebone?) was Joseph West (greengrocer) and his wife Lucy Eliza both born in Stapleford Tawney, aged 55 and 53 respectively. With them were son Fred West, aged 27, a butcher, born at Theydon Garnon and niece Minnie Clara West, aged 23 and born at Theydon Mount. There was also a general servant, Annie Price, 14, born at Tring. Two Wests (Joseph and Sarah) were witnesses at the marriage of Frances Elizabeth Belsham.
In 1885 Lucy Eliza received a bequest of £1000 from the estate of Lucy Eliza Lucy.
